Gordon Muir Campbell, OC OBC

Gordon was the 35th Mayor of Vancouver, Chair of the Greater Vancouver Regional District, the 34th Premier of British Columbia, and Canada’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. As Chair of the Vancouver Region, he led the Creating Our Future Program and established the ground-breaking Council of Councils. As Premier, he restored the province’s AAA credit rating and led the government’s Climate Action Plan, which included legislated greenhouse gas reduction targets, a carbon-neutral public sector, and the internationally recognized revenue-neutral carbon tax. His Order of British Columbia citation recognized him as “an exemplary British Columbian and a visionary leader.” The Ahousat First Nation and The Haida both honoured him by bestowing him with a name, Chamatook and Nang Kaadlljuu respectively. Following his Premiership, from 2011 to 2016 he served as Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and served on the Board of the Commonwealth of Nations. He was Canada's representative to the Ismaili Imamat from 2014 to 2016. Gordon has been recognized for his environmental, economic, and social leadership throughout his career. He is passionately committed to empowering younger generations to lead the way forward to a healthy planet. Peter Gall, LLM, JD

Peter is internationally recognized for his expertise in general civil litigation, administrative law, constitutional law, and labour and employment law, acting as counsel before administrative tribunals and all levels of the courts. Peter has represented a who’s who of clients in the sports and entertainment fields and appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada in many distinguished cases. His experience and knowledge, demonstrated not only in the courts but through the publication of many highly-regarded articles on administrative, constitutional, and labour law, make Peter a much sought-after guest speaker around the world. Outside the courts, he pursues a broad range of interests and takes sincere pleasure in connecting a vast network of leading legal, humanitarian, and business experts to tackle important economic, social, and environmental issues.

Michael Gillis

As a former professional ice hockey player and President and General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks, Mike knows what goes into elite performance. A lifelong student of team culture and successful collaboration, Mike evolved from player, to coach, to agent and senior executive. He sees data and science as a catalyst for progress, and the key to understanding how to build individual and group success. Upon retiring from the NHL as a player, Mike obtained a law degree from Queen's University and for years was a highly successful player agent, representing many premier players. He then joined the Vancouver Canucks executive team, where he was recognized as the 2011 NHL General Manager of the Year and named Executive of the Year by Sporting News. Inspired by the big picture in everything he does, Mike is dedicated to bringing his knowledge, vision, and anti-groupthink point of view to new problems and opportunities. He’s passionate about the link between analytics, sports science, and human performance, and how together they can shape a high-functioning organization.

Lisa Stevens

Lisa has led major marketing and behaviour change initiatives in population health, music, technology, finance, and workforce culture across the public and private sector. As Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sony Music in New York City, she worked with some of the premier musical talents in the world, earning several Gold and Platinum records. As SVP of Marketing and Business Development at the global e-commerce marketplace AbeBooks, Lisa helped lead the company to an acquisition by Amazon, and during her tenure as Executive Director of ActNowBC, a health promotion program for the 2010 Olympic Games, the work was recognized for its leadership by the World Health Organization. Lisa is currently spearheading the creation of Canada’s first impact-investment mortgage fund, and as Chief Strategy Officer for the BCCA, has conceived and launched the Builders Code, a code of conduct standard to improve psychological safety on construction sites in Canada. Lisa has a unique ability to understand diverse markets and challenges and is passionate about motivating humans to take positive actions to improve their lives and the world around them.

Lawrence Alexander

Lawrence is a lawyer at Peter A. Gall Law Corporation, focused on law reform, environment and land use, access to justice, and dispute resolution. He advises organizations that are using innovation and technology to tackle stubborn public policy problems and has advised deputy ministers to the Premier in the BC Government on both sides of the political spectrum. Lawrence is the chair of an access to justice innovation lab and was a member of the Law Society of BC’s Futures Task Force. Lawrence has led major law and policy reform projects on several topics including climate action, green cities, alternative energy and power technology, valuation, cutting green tape, food law, environmental auditing, the regulation of oil and gas, drinking water protection, fish protection, ecological tax shifting, tailpipe emissions, and environmental assessment. He is committed to leaning in on big problems and relishes the power of surprising collaborations.
